Another busy week in the books! IMI Edmonton and Local 1 Alberta took part in several career days and job fairs this week at high schools and other venues around Edmonton.
We spent two days at center ice at West Edmonton Mall ice palace for the Tribal Chiefs Employment and Training Services job fair meeting prospective candidates alongside The Educational Partnership Foundation, The Building Trades of Alberta, and LIUNA Local 92 among other trade unions and employers in the oil and gas and construction sectors.
We were also able to attend career days at Ross Shepard and Ecole Secondaire Beaumont Composite high schools. Connecting with youth and students and seeing their genuine interest in the pursuit of a career in the skilled trades was encouraging. We were happy to take part, thank you for having us!
