REGISTRATION OPENS AUGUST 1, 2026.
As of February 2026, IMI Alberta - Edmonton Training Centre now has government approval as an accredited technical training provider for ALL THREE LEVELS of the Bricklayer trade in the province of Alberta.
IMI Alberta utilizes the approved Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT) curriculum that aligns with existing training in the province to ensure continuity and success for both existing and future apprentices.

2026/27 Academic Year Class Dates: |
Period 3 (3rd Year): October 19 - December 11, 2026 Period 2 (2nd Year): January 11 - March 5, 2027 Period 1 (1st Year): March 15 - May 7, 2027 Classes will be held Monday - Friday, 8am - 3:30pm (6.5 hours of instruction per day). |

Program Length: |
The Alberta Bricklayer apprenticeship program consists of three (3) periods of training (1st, 2nd, and 3rd year apprenticeship levels). Each period requires apprentices to complete 1540 hours of on the job work experience, as well as 240 hours of technical training. Technical training is delivered in 8-week blocks for each class. |

Who Should Attend: |
All registered bricklayer apprentices. Our apprenticeship program is open to everyone. We welcome anyone who has both interest and passion for the masonry trade, and we look forward to helping you in your trowel trades education on a path to a great career. |
